From young children to adults
It is always a pleasure to pick up an instrument and start learning. l'atelier by apc provides violins, violas and cellos for young children to adults. Instrument rental is very easy and can be collected at our store or have it delivered to your home.
For young children, we advise you to have a look at our size chart before deciding the instrument. Since it is quite important for your child to use the adequate size, you may exchange instruments even during the contract period.
We have more than 10 years of experience renting instruments, and all the instruments are fully maintenanced by expertise.
Rental Plan
We offer four rental plans to suit your need.
Minimum rental period is 3 months, however, you may rent our instrument as long as you wish to continue with monthly payments.
Discovery Plan : Discovery plan offers instruments adapted for beginners, they are easy to play and finely adjusted.
Experience Plan : Experience plan offers a brand new set of instrument. We have also included instruments which are just below the "Authentic Plan" category.
Authentic Plan : Authentic Plan offers century-old instruments with warm and resonant sound. This plan is highly recommended for all the players.
Virutuose Plan : Virutuose Plan offers instruments of exceptional quality and value. Recommended for aspiring professionals.

Rental set
Our rental set includes Instrument, Bow, Case and a rosin. (Except for Virtuose Plan which include only Instrument) The consumables and accessories such as bow hairs and strings are refurbished, however, they are not covered under our maintenance service.
In case you need adjustments and repair during your rental, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Option
Insurance is optional.
The coverage of the insurance shall be 100% for repair, and 80% for full damage or stolen case.
Delivery
Instruments can be collected at our store or be delivered to your house.
The shipping fee is as follows
Violin or Viola : 2,000 yen
Cello : 5,000 yen
Delivery Safety
We take utmost care for packing the instrument, however, the damage will covered by our insurance company in case of any accident during delivery.
Payment method
For payments, we only accept Visa, MasterCard or American Express. If you are visiting or store, you may also pay with JCB.
Cash or other payment methods such as bank transfers, debit cards are not accepted.
When returning the instrument
If you have decided to return the instrument, first please let us know by email or by telephone.
The instrument could be either returned to our shop directly, or have it sent by delivery services. When you are using delivery services, please make sure you have the instrument, the bow, and the rosin safe in the case. Wrap the case with bubble wrap and with cardboard.
L'atelier by apc (Aux Petits Chevalets Paris) was established by French luthier, Olivier Paoli in 2009. Located in Shibuya, in the heart of Tokyo with a large room with high ceilings, enabling visitors to try our instruments in the finest acoustics.
